A critical application deadline is rapidly approaching for Canadian communities to pursue grants for foreign direct investment (FDI) from the national government. Known as the CanExport Community Investment program (formerly ICCI), the program aims to support economic development agencies in their efforts to develop and implement strategies to attract FDI.
The deadline for applications closes on November 9th, 2022.
The program covers several types of expenses including:

- FDI strategic planning and analysis
- Sector identification
- Positioning Plan
- Other
- Development of FDI tools and materials
- Investment lead generation and meetings with potential investors
