Things are changing at Hickey Global Canada, and we want to keep you informed. First, we would like to take a moment to reintroduce Lauren Millier, Economic Development Principal Consultant at Hickey Global Canada. Second, we wanted to make a first-time introduction to Camila Concha, Hickey Global Canada's Economic Development Consultant (this is a second introduction for Camila, if you've been following our newsletter, The Point). Both professionals bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our Canadian economic development initiatives, and we're excited to highlight their contributions.

Lauren Millier's role on the team significantly reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional services to the Canadian public sector. As a Principal, Lauren is instrumental in driving business development and overseeing complex project management.
Before joining Hickey Global Canada, Lauren co-founded MDB Insight (formerly Millier Dickinson Blais), a highly respected consulting firm acquired by Deloitte's Economic Advisory practice in 2022. This achievement followed years of experience in municipal land use policy planning and economic development advisory services, spanning both public and private sectors. Lauren has successfully led many economic development-related projects for counties and small and large urban communities across Canada, including Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, London, Mississauga, and Ottawa. She has built an extensive professional network across Canada and is well-respected for her work quality.
Lauren’s work includes sector analyses, economic growth strategies, economic development strategies, and economic development service delivery reviews, as well as nightlife economy strategies, creative economy strategies, cultural plans, and downtown revitalization projects.
Lauren holds retired memberships in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) and the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), has a Bachelor of Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo, and is completing a Master of Public Administration (Management) at Dalhousie University.
